Frontline Source Group Temporary Agency and Professional Staffing Agency announces Gold Sponsorship for The University of Oklahoma FormulaSAE (Previously known as Society of Automotive Engineers) Sooner Racing Team 2015-2016
FormulaSAE is an opportunity for students to develop and exercise their engineering, business, and organizational skills. An international student engineering competition, FormulaSAE challenges students to design, manufacture, and race a small formula-style race car. Students from over 450 universities compete in nine world-wide competitions. After each year, the students must return to the drawing board and again start the iterative process of design, simulation, analysis, manufacturing, and testing. Over the past four years, the Sooner Racing Team has built quite a reputation for the University of Oklahoma, achieving four consecutive top five finishes and two top three finishes in the prestigious Design category.
“We are honored to sponsor such a great event for the students at OU,” said Bill Kasko, President & CEO. “This group works hard to teach and train future engineers, and being in the staffing industry, I cannot emphasis enough the importance of training future engineers. We hope to work with several of them in the coming years.”
The Sooner Racing Team is an elite group of engineering students at the University of Oklahoma working towards a common goal. That goal is to successfully design and manufacture a single-seater, open-wheeled race car to compete in the FormulaSAE racing series.
“As a student-run organization we must raise the majority of our funds so that we can build the groundbreaking car we are designing. Each sponsorship we receive means that we can pursue new and innovative manufacturing methods and materials, along with having the opportunity to take our car and our team to competition, ” said Wesley Reynolds, Chief Administrator for the 2015-2016 Formula SAE Sooner Racing Team. “Our sponsors are vital to our team’s success, and for that we are beyond appreciative. Without our sponsors, we would not be crossing the finish line Sooner.”
